Replacing Ratchet Ring Stans 3.30 Hub

Just wondering if anybody knows of a source for a ratchet ring and the removal tool for the ratchet ring in a Stans 3.30 hub?. The pawls are shot, can get new ones of those, found a ratchet ring in Germany for a hefty amount, but the only tool I can find is 80 quid in the UK, too much for what is likely a one off job.

Hmmm,

I think this is the part.

One note that I saw indicated that the Sun Ringle and STANS were made by the same company. So, no guarantees, but the Sun Ringle ratchet looks similar.

The Sun Ringle tools seem to be running around $40.

Here is a universal ring tool:: https://www.ebay.com/itm/24-30-36-Tee...-/272089792438

Like you say, Stans are just rebranded cheapo Taiwanese hubs, both them and Sunringle are all made by Chosen, only difficulty is Sunringle have two different 30T rings, so I'm not sure which one it is. What is weird Stans USA don't list a part for either the ring or the tool, but their international distributors do. Hopefully I can sort it out without it costing too much.

As I did for a friend going on a tour I would lace a shimano hub into the rear wheel.

I'm gonna try replacing the pawls first and see how that goes. Apparently the ring is a bastard to remove, it's Loctited in and can take some getting out...

I tore apart 4 Stan's 330 hubs in a year. They have a bad problem with the paws / freehub. Finally got them to credit me for a Shimano XT hub. Problem solved. Supposedly they are working/testing a new design to fix the problem. You might want to contact them.
