Bontrager tlr rim strips

I have a set of Bontrager Racing Rims that are "tubless ready".

I am thinking about making the big switch to tubless.

Do I have to use the Bontrager TLR strips or can I use any tubeless right rim tap?

The rim strips are a necessary component. They have co-molded ridges to retain the bead from sideways forces. The rims themselves have no retention ridges on them.

Bikes: Too many. Giant Trance X 29, Surly Midnight Special get the most time.

Probably the easiest thing would be to go into nearly any Trek retailer. Retail on the strips is like $10. You'll also need tubeless valves--most will work. They're a bit tricky to get on clean--if you mangle the strip getting it on, it can effect the bead set. Bontrager wheels do set up really easy with the provided strips and TLR tires, though.
