help

total new guy here so i have no idea if what my bike is doing is normal or something is wrong. i cant speak intelligently about bike mechanics or use the proper lingo so please bear with me.
i have a giant defy 1 with 105 gears, disc brakes, etc that i bought new a year ago an has roughly a 1000 miles on it. i took it in last week to have the free lbs tune done an it still doesnt seem right to me. it makes a clicking sound in the front wheel area, seems to shift hard, occ i hear a metal on metal pop when i peddle but not all the time, an have to pull the brakes back pretty hard to get them to work then it makes a noise also. overall i just seem to be hearing alot of noises. not sure which ones are normal an which ones needs attn. i know that description doesnt help much but would appreciate any advice as i literally know nothing. i have a century ride scheduled in a few weeks an am just concerned, plus i dont wanna fight the bike and the course.

If a shop's any good they'll stand by their work and revisit that tuneup if you weren't happy with the results.

Swapping shops means you're paying for a new repair job.

ohwell
that's the downside to not having the 'local' part of an LBS (local bike shop)
Keep it all local next time. Community wins.
