Chain
Hello there, not soon after I went for a ride with new Vittoria evolution tires when chain broke, I counted links ,56,I have 3 in front and 7 in rear so based on info I searched it is ok for 6-7-8 speed bikes, is there something any of you geniuses on the matter would share with me before I let my HADD Plus D lmao impulses shop stupidly, ty and enjoy your coffee bye

An 8 spd chain will be fine.

more variables like chain stay length ... is just one..
I test fit the chain in situ. on the bike a piece of spoke bent in a C holds the ends wrap it thru big-big and everything else. So, in a typical 116 link chain you barely use half? bike chains are 1/2" pitch,(between pin centers), so actual length is X number of 0.5"... 5 6 7 8 are all the same, chain, .... |
He may be counting outer links. 56 outer links = 112 total links (inner and outer).

Now I am going to get chain and tool to add or take out links. Ty for getting involved I appreciate it |
If you buy a KMC chain, be sure to get one that includes the appropriate Missing Link. Besides saving you time it'll save money and aggravation buying 'em together. If you buy the Missing Link separately you'll probably pay more, offsetting the price of the cheaper KMC chains. And then you'll need to be sure you have the correct pin width, 7.1mm or 7.3mm. Easier to pony up a couplafew dollars more for the chain that includes the link.

i use trailthis when i need a chain that i don't have in stock... find them on Ebay... super fast service, and low prices. |
Yeah, that's what I'd expected too, but the Z33 and Z50 chains with plain rivets didn't include Missing Links.
The Z72 did. And the Z72 has the mushroom rivets. |
