RD TZ 40 rear derailer

I can't seem to find this part anywhere.... RD TZ 40 direct mount for a 7 speed. Does Shimano make a stutable replacement that will work on my GENESIS V2100 bike? Thanks Bryant

Get a Tourney with the proper mount. They come in both styles.
TZ is/was Tourney anyway. Maybe just a bit older generation?

Bill Kapaun thanks. Does this mean that if I use TZ RD 50 instead of a RD 40 it will work fine as long as it mounts the same? Also thanks to cobba for the product info.

Thank you! One more question does this mean that a RD 50 will work in place of th RD 40 as long as it mounts the same?

Yes. Rear derailleurs are very standardized, especially within a single brand like Shimano. As long as it has the correct type of mount (usually either direct mount, or with a "claw" mount), nearly ANY rear derailleur will work.

Any Shimano Tourney or Tourney TX will work well. Here's an example of one with a "claw" mount:

And one with a direct mount:
