Deda Murex stem, torque spec?

Hey all. I have a Deda Murex quill stem. It creaks a lot.

I bought the stem new but I didn't hang onto the directions and there doesn't seem to be a manual online. Anyone have the manual and proper instructions for the bar clamp?

I nhave no torque numbers to quote from but I do have some advice. First take the stem completely apart, pull the bolts, clamp half and wedge and clean the coat with a thin layer of grease before reassembly. The bolts need only to be tight enough to resist reasonable force trying to miss align the bars/stem. No more and no less. Tighten the bolts a bit and try twisting the stem in the fork and the bars within the stem clamp. Increase the tightness till this twisting effort no longer results in movement.

I just had some ticking/creaking on my commuter. I had had some crank/BB causes a couple of years ago and thought these had returned. I was wrong, I found the stem's wedge bolt was a half turn+ too loose. A quick tightening solved the strange click. Andy
