FSA Megaexo bb with Shimano SLX Cranks
Hi people,
I want to upgrade my drivetrain from 3 to 2 by system. Thing that confuse me is that do I need to buy a bb as well if I want to upgrade to a shimano SLX crankset. I'm currently running a FSA megaexo cranks with the bb which is a bb cartridge type that comes with it. So the point is do I need to buy the same bb that compatible with the SLX crank, or can I use the FSA bb?

You'll need the Shimano BB which I think is a Hollotech II but they're cheap and they're a massive upgrade over the craptacular MegaExo stuff anyway.

The Mega Exo bottom bracket is compatible with Shimano 24mm spindle cranksets, but the Shimano BB is probably better and they don't cost that much.

Get a Shimano bottom bracket for your Shimano crankset. Your FSA crankset will have higher resale value if you sell the BB with it.
