No problem, they make an Italian threaded * External Bearing assembly Too ..
* 36mm by 24 tpi, British is smaller 1.37" and left threaded right side, Italian uses right hand thread on both sides..

both the lower standard HT2, and the DA versions will work, however the DA versions tend to last longer, and be a bit smoother turning...
i'd get the DA version.
did you determine if the frame is italian or english threads, yet?

Do you have the tools and know-how to remove the existing crank and bottom bracket?
If not, your best bet is to haul this into your friendly neighborhood bike shop... have them remove and check what type of parts you need. They may even have a proper bottom bracket in stock.
Even if you intend to carry on the build from there this will be a great time saver and money well spent if you are not experienced with the nuances of bottom bracket removal and installation. This is probably the single most important part of the upgrade to get right.

they have used the 105 model name for decades, and changed the product, so that's inadequate , to be accurate,
you need to read the other numbers off the back of the arms..
I have an old set of square taper Dura Ace cranks , I put on my Bike Friday, they're ' FC 7410 '... for example.
yea LBS is a good idea, no need to buy tools you use once to take the old off, then nreed something else to put the new on..
