Shimano 3 speed, help!

Hello all, I recently aquired an Iverson 3 speed, and upon taking off the rear-wheel to change the tube, I had to slightly dis-assemble the strange shifting mechanism/cable. I am completely unfamiliar with 3 speeds, and after replacing the rear wheel and re-assembling the shifting device I found that I now only have 2 speeds. I assume it is an issue with adjusting the cable, but I am really not sure. If anyone has any knowledge or tips on adjusting an old Shimano 3 speed I would really appreciate it. All of the info I've found online has been related to Sturmey-Archer 3 speeds, which is sadly no use to me.
