Going to 11 speed on a budget
Here's my situation. All of my bikes are 11 speed. My wife's is am 11 speed as well. She wants to start using the Kickr trainer which is currently setup with a 10 speed cassette to fit the only 10 speed bike I have. For various reasons I would like to keep that bike for the trainer which means I want to upgrade it to 11 speed. I do ride it outside from time to time as well.
The bike is setup with SRAM rival shifters, red crankset, red yaw front derailleur, force rear derailleur.
Is it possible to only upgrade the rear shifter and chain?

You will need a shifter, a rear dr, a chain and a cassette, but just so you know, the shimano 10sp 12-28 cassette is exactly the same as the 11sp 11-28 minus the 11t cog. Maybe just stick to 10sp?

I thought pull ratio is the same for sram for 10 or 11 speed such that I could reuse the RD. Also, I don't get your comment about Shimano 12-28. Isn't the spacing different? Or did you not understand me wanting to have my wife be able to use the same direct drive trainer with her 11 sp bike without swapping cassette on the trainer everytime we swap bikes
