Athena II - Potenza RD compatibility
Hi,
I currently have Athena groupset but would like to use the potenza 32t cassette, does anyone have experience of whether the potenza medium rear derailleur will work with Athena shifters?
Many thanks in advance.

IDK, that exact item, generally ; capacity-1 and wrap-2 are, 1 about max cog size, 2 about chain slack take up..
by reducing the 2nd to a smaller difference, the short cage RD, as I found * works on larger freewheel cogs..
* an 80s chorus in my case..
last spring a cycletourist broke a carbon part of a newest Chorus, RD,
3~4 days later a special order Potenza arrived to get him back on the road..
We only see Campag's gear on visitors bikes out here..

Somewhere along the line Campy changed Chorus/Record 11speed actuation ratio. They are different than Athena. I'm not sure if Potenza is compatible with Athena or not. But there are 2 different 11 speed standards now. That much is fact. I thought Potenza might be Chorus/Record compatible. Best to call Campy USA directly. Good luck
