Look Keo Blade 2 service
Two questions about servicing keo blade pedals.
Do the blades wear out? Mine are going on two years old and use the 16nm blade. I am not pulling my foot out of the pedal just yet but they doen't feel as snug as they ised to? Can I replace the axle cartridge bearings or would I need to replace the whole axle assembly? My left pedal is spinning kind of rough. I popped the spindle out and squirted some grease into the cartridge, which hleped. But looks like I might need to replace the bearing in the not too terribly distant future. Not sure if I can get the bearing dislodged from the spindle or if need to buy a whole new axpe assemblly (about 40 bucks). Thanks |
Are the cleats also two years old? We see riders going through quite a few sets of cleats, before the pedals are an issue, frequently. Andy

I believe that Look guarantees its bearings for the life of the pedal or at least it used to. Contact the closest distributor, they should send you a new spindle with attached bearing free of charge. As for the feeling of looseness, there is no adjustment to the carbon blade. Explain this as well when you contact Look

I contacted look and they said the new axle assembly is over a hundred dollars.
