Sram PG 1170 Cassette

Bike specs: Trek Domane 5.2 (2014)

All Ultegra drivetrain and shifters

Sram 1170 11 speed chain

The issue:

I want to use the sram cassette because it shifts smoother but Iím having trouble getting the gears to shift properly. I can either get the bigger cogs to shift or the smaller ones, not all 11. Iíve started the adjustment on the smallest cog with the jockey wheel just outboard.

What at can I do to get this right?

Start by setting the limits with the cable unattached. Then attach the cable and fine tune the index. If it still won’t shift properly, something is misaligned.

If you have your endpoints set correctly ( I set the upper jockey wheel to line up perfectly with the smallest cog, never outboard) and your cable tension is correct, and it still misses shifts or ghosts, your derailleur hanger is tweaked. I fiddled with mine for the better part of an afternoon, then gave up and took it to the LBS. They straightened the hanger and it shifts smoother than ever. Ultegra 6800 STIs and derailleurs, PG-1170 11-28 cassette, PC-1170 chain.

I agree with the smoother shifting. The SRAMano combo is better than all-SRAM or all-Shimano. Oddly.
