Shimano brake pad compatibility

I have flatmount Shimano hydraulic disc brake BR RS505 fitted with stock L02A resin pads with cooling fins. It's a bit hard to find replacement pads in bike shops but they have J02A in stock but the bike shops are not sure if they can be fitted. Does anyone know if these two pads can be used interchangably? They look the same on picture just that the cooling fins are a little differently shaped. Thanks

The J02A pads will not fit. This page shows the compatible pads if you scroll down to the product specifications section. https://bike.shimano.com/en-US/produ...R-RS505-F.html

Thanks dsaul. It's annoying that brake pads are not more compatible across models!
