Online bike small parts box question
I ordered a Nashbar Touring bike and I'm new to putting bikes together. I'm partway through, still need to put the pedals, rack, and reflector on. My question is what the remaining small parts are (see picture). I think the silver bolts and washers are for attaching the rack, and the black screw is for attaching the front reflector, but I don't know what the s-shaped clip is for, what the black nub thing is for, or what the black strip is for.
I can't post pictures yet apparently, but here is a picture of the remaining parts: i.imgur.com/QctcEtG.jpg

The black "screws" are plastic plugs to fill an unused bottle or rack boss. They are not structural fasteners. The silver bolts and washers are likely for a rack. The "S" hook is to bundle cable casing together between the controls and the frame, often never needed/installed. And the strip is a sizing shim for a reflector bracket, use if needed discard if not.
I strongly suggest that you have a qualified mechanic do a check over on the bike fairly soon. The questions you ask suggest a lack of understanding. Andy
