sks fender question
 

I'm installing some new chromoplastic fenders and I'm not sure what this black piece is for. The hardware is a little different from the one's I installed in 2012.

What is this piece for? I have 8 of them so I'm guessing they go on the stayshttps://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...9ddd641400.jpg

The fender clip is much of what is was years ago. The black plastic "spacer" is a current offer I don't bother to use. Andy

Where would the spacer be used if you decided to do so?

8 , 1 per strut to mudguard bolt ?

got this explanation from Rivendell"I think those are spacers to be used direct mounting to the brake and chainstay bridges. I normally throw them out, as we use other metal spacers when fenders are installed."
