Italian ISIS bottom bracket

ISIS BB with Italian cup is no longer available as far as I can tell. Does anyone know if I can get a English ISIS BB and just reuse the old( left thread Italian) cup from the old worn out bottom bracket? I am not sure if the diameter of the BB is the same and thread pitch is the same or not.

Is the difference just in the left vs right thread? The size is a standard double crank 70x108. Thanks

Italian has greater diameter - English will be too small.

English BB internal diameter is 1.37 inches (about 34.8mm) and Italian is 36mm. Their BB shell widths are also different, English has 68 or 73 mm standards and Italian BB are 70mm. The only thing that is the same for them is the thread pitch (24 TPI).

Do you actually have an ISIS bottom bracket? What brands are your crank arms? In my local area there is a seller on Craigslist selling some Shimano Octalink splined Italian BBs.

I can also check at work for you for an used ISIS 108mm BB.

Thanks for the info.
I thought I would use the Italian thread cup of the old BB and just get an ISIS English BB, but looks like it is not the case. The cranks are FSA . Octalink will not work with ISIS , I think. To change to cartridge BB would need to change the cranks. Just found a used BB on e-bay, hopefully will last a couple of years. May need to update the cranks after that.

Drop me a PM. I have at least one but I'm in the process of moving and it's in a box. I don't remember spindle length but it was for FSA Carbon Pro Elite double crank. If you can wait until next week some time I'll dig it out and get it to you at a fair price.

Big 'It Depends ' can the bearing cartridge assembly be separated from the mounting rings..

is the OD of the bearings the same as the old one used?

+1

The pictures shown here suggest that both cups are separate from the cartridge body, so it isn't unlikely that an English BB could have an identical cartridge to the Italian, but just different cups. If the OP wants to save a couple bucks it would be worth trying if they have an old Italian BB.
