Bottom bracket size Trek Soho w/Carbon drive 2009
I want to change the bottom bracket on my Trek Soho w/Carbon drive 2009, together with a conversion to CDN instead of CDC. I found that a Shimano Bottom Bracket BB-UN55 Square Taper with shell length 68 mm with can be used. However there are several axle length, some almost the same length. Someone that did a change and have noted the axle length?

The BB spindle length is specific to the particular crankset. The crankset manufacturer (Gates?) should be able to tell you the spindle length required. The conversion may call for a different BB length than your current one.

I'd contact Gates for a specific spindle length recommendation. Their web site's tech manual doesn't give that information.

If you will keep the same crank, and the conversion will not change the "chainline" maybe measure the spindle you have.

Looks like its not Gates, but 'C drive' Likely chosen to save you money
when you bought the bike , over what Gates asks for..
