Willier Cento Uno Bottom Bracket

I have a 2009 Willier Cento Uno. Is has an oversized bottom bracket. Recently I removed the crankset in order to make a repair to the frame. When I pulled off the Dura Ace crankset and axle (without using any force) the sealed bearing came with the axle. The bearing seems pretty stuck on the axle and would probably require some home made tool to pull the bearing off without over stressing it. The bearing on the other side could be easily removed with my fingers. After doing some research I believe that the bottom bracket is a BB94. I find the design fairly strange as the bearings aren't a press fit. They simply slide into the outer section of the bearing sleeve. I don't remember finding much lubrication on the sleeve when the bearings were removed but there might have been a little.

I have the repaired frame back and I'm wondering what the best way is to reassemble. There are several possibilities:

1. Simply put everything back together without any grease at all. I didn't notice a lot of grease previously and the bottom bracket has been quiet for the 6 months that I've had the bike.

2. Put a bunch of lube on the sleeve where the bearing sits before reassembling. I would assume that this would reduce wear to the sleeve over time and would prevent bottom bracket noises from developing in the short term. However, it might encourage turning of the bearing in the sleeve over time which could lead to wear.

3. Take a very short piece of teflon tape and lay it across the sleeve (at a 90 degree angle) at the spot where the drive side sleeve has the largest diameter (it is very slightly oblong, maybe from wear over time). Press in the bearing. Put a similar piece of teflon tape at the same spot on the opposite side and press in that bearing. The advantage of this approach is that it would discourage the bearing from ever turning in the sleeve and therefore prevent wear of the sleeve. (Some folks with this bike have reported wear problems that led to creaks). By properly positioning the tape one should be able to keep the bearings as in line and parallel as they were before disassembly.

Any thoughts on which approach you would recommend?
