Shimano 105 5800 FD cable plastic tab

ey!

This is my first post.

I have a trak emonda sl5 with a shomano 105 8500 groupset. Earlier today I was cleaning it and noticed that something was rubbing against my rear tire. Inspecting it I realizad that it was the front derailleur cable, but not just the end cap but a little plastic tap that the cable is threaded into (i can move it up and down theand has a plastic prong and some clips, I figure that it is to tuck the excess cable and cable end cap away and it clips somewhere in the derailleur parts, but i cant figure out where and I don want to force somewhere it and break it or put it somewhere its not secure and it ends up popping out again and rubbing against the tire or cranks. Im attaching a couple of pictures but let me know if you need anything else.

Do any of you have any idea where dos this part clip into, and can you give me photos or a video so I know where to clip it. Sorry for the odd and specific question but im at a loss here.

Thanks

It's not an error, it stops new posters spamming, just post a few more times.

For your FD, bit confused with what your describing, as there is no plastic clip on the 5800 design, but there is similar to what your describing on the R7000, would be worth clarifying exactly what you have, also, have a look at the SI to see it's set up correctly Manuals & Technical Documents

I made this video a while back you might find helpful. Fast forward to about the 9:00 point st see how the plastic cover attaches if you don't want to see all the adjustment stuff.

It's not this, is it (or a variant of it)? If it is, this is just the tool to make adjustments for cable routing, and is supposed to be removed after set-up.
