I have a giant OCR1 that I am using as a commuter bike. It has developed a creaking noise that seems to be coming from the front fork. Any ideas?

Check the tightness on the handlebars and stem. Even though they feel tight, they might have some give to them when you put an allen wrench to them. If that doesn't take care of it, check your shifters to be sure they're tight. I've found both to cause me a "creak" at times. Hopefully, it'll be something as simple as that.

Do you have the adjustable stem? They often give way to creaking episodes. Just a note.

try putting a little grease on the faceplate bolts on the stem (the bolts that hold the plate that tightens over the handlebars). Often, if dry, they will creak.

I had a similar problem on a very similar bike. Turned out to be the skewer.

Thanks for the responses. I just wanted to let those of you who responded know what was wrong. I tried all of the above recommendations and then some and then I ended up taking it to my LBS. I turns out the creak was coming form the shim in the seat tube for the seat post. The post is carbon so the mechanic greased between the shim and the frame. Noise gone.
