Hello all,

I picked up a swiss Titan road frame together with a box of parts which included the Ofmega 46 tooth crankset below and also a single Shimano 600 brake lever.

Looking at the teeth, do you think it would work for a 1x conversion?

I have a 10-speed Shimano STI shifter and a 12-34 cassette ready to go on, and would like to use what I have on hand.

Agree with John, should work well. You will have a 103 gear-inch high gear which should be plenty for almost anything but pedaling down hill. You will also have a 36 gear-inch low gear which should be adequate for all but very hilly riding.

Thanks chaps. Will proceed with the Ofmega, as soon as the threadless ST BB has arrived.

The BB is Swiss-threaded and I canít find them anywhere, so I went with one of the threadless ones.

Iíll post a picture when itís all done.

All done. The singlespeed crank fouled the NDS BB cup - it sat too far inboard - so I went with 2x10. Rides and shifts very nicely.
