Desperate!!! Focus R.A.T

Hey guys,

Desperately looking for confirmation.

Can someone with a focus R.A.T through axle (preferably a cyclocross mares or smilar) on a shimano 11spd hub take a picture of the INSIDE of the rear disc side seat stay.

I'm trying to confirm if there is meant to be a washer/grommit between the hub and the thread that the axle slides through on the seat stay.

Thanks in advance

So I found this on the Focus site: https://www.focus-bikes.com/us_en/rat

So, I'm not and expert. But the website doesn't show a washer. And I can't imagine a washer in this context: it takes the wheel from being quick release to "assembly required". Trying to get the axle through a washer on a muddy wheel in the middle of a race when rain is pouring down? And you drop it in the mud? Meh.

So, as I'm not an expert, and don't know for sure, there's a chance I'm wrong. Why not contact a Focus dealer and, like, ask them? I'll be interested in knowing what you find.

This was my thought. LBS thinks there is meant to be something ingressed into the inside of the socket that aligned the brake disc properly with the caliper, but i can't find any example of it anywhere.

I contacted the focus guys in Germany and this is what they had to say:

Me:
t's like... In the hole of the chain stay that the axle slides through
Apparently
Maybe a little ring of some sort?

Focus:
Yeah, and itīs between the hub and dropout right? At the non drive side ... Itīs not on the other side of the frame?
So the item code for the spacer is 150615016 but this is our own item. Here the dimensions of it - HUB SPACER ALU 1.0T SHI SIL 35,0X39,5X1,0MM

Me:
The side with the disc break so that's non drive side from memory

Focus
Then it only can be this spacer I mentioned above
Me
Sounds about right. No pics I assume?
Thanks for the follow up
Focus
Sorry, but no images available, sorry ...
There is no other spacer mentioned into the part list of the frame, wheels etc. So this one seems to be the correct one.

Tom
Ok thanks. I'll have to roll with that for now

This is in addition to the special insert that the RAT technology is based upon, right? The little keyhole thingy?

Does your brake disc not line up with the caliper?
