dual piston zeno caliper

Had an interesting failure with a mechanical dual piston zeno caliper.
The roll pin that goes into the brake caliper pulling lever lost its set screw & the roll pin slid out from the lever during a stopping event.
That roll pin serves as a multifunction part; it clamps the cable in place & engages the two pistons.

The small machine screw is nowhere to be found & the roll pin is now damaged from banging around getting caught in the rotor.
The caliper came preassembled. Essentially a non serviceable area of the caliper.

Has anyone had this happen?

Part Number I found is "B074HT4Z5P"

Never heard of them, until now, so I looked online... OEM only parts pick ? ( I only see sellers links not the company )

looks like it's mechanism is along the same line as TRP Spyre/Spyke 1 actuator operates a moving pad on both sides

why not toss that one and buy the TRP ? they have perhaps better service ?

I did end up going the TRP brand. Was just curious if others have had the same misfortune as I with ZENO calipers.

Was it really a "roll pin" you lost? Properly chosen roll pins are sized to be a snug drive fit in their respective hole and do not need a set screw to retain them. In fact you need a hammer and matching punch to remove them. I assume what you lost was a relatively loose fitting solid pin.

The attached is to what I could best describe the missing roll pin.
Also showing the failed caliper.https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...6a6b5fc45f.png

You choose to buy those or were they a cheaper part that the factory chose in their OEM parts specs?..

this is a roll pin.. it goes in a tight hole , forced to compress , , keeping it tight

non oem. I could not identify the part's terminology, therefore I applied what I thought best to describe it,

internet may have the manufacturer , All I got with my search was sellers.. middlemen ..

Toss it in a Bin & go on with your life ...
