3-Speed Brake Cable
I've searched and searched and cannot find a video or instructions on how to remove the old rear brake cable from the hand brake/grip/handle on my 70s era Huffy All Pro 3 speed. Any links, tips, suggestions are most welcome. Thanks.

Have you detached the cable from the caliper yet? How about pulling th4e cable out of the casing? Next would be removing the inner cable from the lever, here there's some variation in cable end and the lever's capture design but once the cable if free from that othet stuff the inner can usually be fished out of the lever. Keep track of the casing end caps as they might be specific to the lever. There must be dozens of videos out there as well as a number of repair manuals available on line. The Park Tool Blue Book comes to mind. Andy

It is pretty much the same as any brake lever on a bike that does not also serve as a shift lever too. As mentioned previously, disconnect the cable at the brake caliper first, then the lever will pull back enough to let you figure out visually the next part which differs slightly by model and mfr, but should be self-explanatory by then.

Thank you everybody for responding to my post. I've changed cables on 10 speeds but this is my first really old bike and the brakes are a bit different. Your comments have been very helpful.
