Bearings on Direct Drive Indoor Trainer?
 

Do you ever have to worry about the bearings on an indoor bike direct drive trainer? Since the trainer is never exposed to any conditions other than the indoors, I imagine the bearings wouldn't but just wanted to make sure. Just passed the 1 year mark with my trainer and the manufacturer has no maintenance recommendations which leads me to believe they expect the bearings to last the life of the trainer. Appreciate any input!

Since most trainers are considered to have a limited life span, whether due to shifting market or actual wear, most manufactures have done little more then supporting after sale service to that of warranty requirements. So the bearings are typically not addressed by any maintenance schedule. But don't fret too much as most issues with trainers are not bearing ones:) Andy

the bearings should be the last thing to fail. I'm a bit more worried about the electronics
