Front derailleur cable routing

Can anyone tell me if this is the right cable routing for a front derailleur? It hits the spring in the picture.

I've run into setups where the ascending cable rubbed against the FD spring - there was nothing I could do about it, but it didn't seem to affect function. However, I think you're routing your cable through the wrong groove of the BB cable guide. It looks like your cable is in the RHS groove, which I would use for the RD cable. Move the cable over to the LHS groove and it might lift it off the FD spring, or at least minimize contact

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. But maybe we need a thousand and 36 or so. <grin>

What brand and model derailleur is it? We could find the solution easier with more info.

My bad. Something happened to the text :-p. Here's the bottom bracket guide. Cable second from the left is the front derailleur (that's the one used in the picture like above). There is another channel one groove to the left, and another one 45 degrees to the left. Which one looks good?

I think I'd go in the guide next to it on the left in the bottom picture. Just don't cut the widow end of the cable too short till you are certain it's functioning as it should be. You can always change it up if it doesn't work well on the one you pick.

Try the one next to it. But even if it still touches the spring the FD should still be functional.

Tried the one to the left. Everything is shifting nice and fast. Thanks everyone!
