Hubs for a tandem

We currently have DT Swiss 540 hubs on our tandem running 700c wheels. Looking to switch to 650b.
Thinking of going with Velocity hubs.
Does anyone have experience with these hubs?
Thanks!

I don't have Velocity hubs on any of my bikes, but I do have a dealer account with Velocity and have sold some of them. Everybody is happy so far, no failures, and no complaints. One of my customers rides many thousands of kilometres per year across countries and continents, so he really puts stuff to the test.

My wife and I have had several tandems and all have had Phil Woods hubs and all were maintenance free for the time we owned them. Roger

Are you going exclusively to 650B or do you just want a set of extra 650B wheels while also keeping your 700c? If you are going to only use 650B, have your current hubs relaced to new rims.

I thought about just swapping hubs. But since I work in a bike shop I can get a good deal on parts. So I can have 2 sets of wheels.

Then EP some Chris King tandem hubs, their employee pricing is really nice the times I've used it. The tandem comes with the stainless steel freehub body and I've not heard of one failing on a tandem.
