Looking for help

I have a problem with a bike where the pedal and gears where they connect through the bike.
They are not aligned and it wobbles when trying to push the pedals

Bikes: Too many. Cannondale SuperSix, Trek Remedy 8, Trek Crossrip+ get the most ride time.

If you want help you're going to need to get better at providing more information than that. I understand you may not have much technical bicycle knowledge, but an attempt at describing the make and model wouldn't be a bad start.
That component is called a crankset which runs on a bearing assembly called the bottom bracket. My guess is that you have a bike with an adjustable bottom bracket and the spindle is loose.
This requires specialized bicycle tools. While not an especially expensive or exotic set of tools, this isn't where I'd recommend most people start working on their bikes.
Were it not for the pandemic, I'd advise you to see if there is a bicycle cooperative in your area to help you with the repair and lend you the tools. Many bike shops are reopening for at least service, and I'd recommend you bring your bike in.

Many shops stayed open because of "essential" (nice to know we finally made it). I second you getting professional eyes on it; they can probably troubleshoot this in an instant.
