I made the huge mistake of buying this not cheap seatpost because I wanted one with setback. I have no idea how the saddle rails are supposed to be clamped by it and the instructions are worthless. It has a single bolt that runs horizontally from side to side. I loosened it and still could not see how the rails would fit. Loosened it further and it came out. There is a spring between the two halves (for what reason I can't fathom) and it is impossible to get the male bolt to fit into the female bolt. Even with the spring removed there does not seem to be away to fit the post clamp over the seat rails.

Has anyone had experience with this post and can help me? Thanks.
