Shimano Sora 9x brifter question
I have 2 sets of older Sora 8 speed ( it's 8, not nine in the title that I can't edit) brifters. On both pairs the right side shifter has a length of plastic tape (almost looks like the stuff that closes bread bags) that runs between the movable (lever) part and the fixed part. It's attached on both ends to something.. WHAT IS IT??
on one of them there is a lot of slack in it and is sorta in the way of things but don't want to rip it out of there if it matters
Thanks

The "tape" is the electrical wires between the shifter pod and the lever body's connection/switch for Shimano's Flight Deck computer. If you don't have this computer or ever plan to use one then this "tape" can be cut and/or removed. Andy
