Cannondale caad12 105 ships with a 30t cassette and SS pulleys...

So the caad12 specs have the max cog size indicated as 30t in the back which is too big for SS pulleys (should be GS I think) but ships with SS anyway? Why? Any ideas? Thanks

I may replace with GS to help shifting but why would a major manufacturer do this I must be missing something
