9 speed chain.

Took the hybrid out yesterday and thought I felt a slight pull in the crank as I rode in a lower gear. Put the bike on my stand and had no issue at all until again I shifted down to the large rear gears and then I could feel the slight pull or tug in the peddle. Looked at the rear D, the BB, the peddles and found nothing obvious. Got out the metal rule and measured the chain and it was a good 1/16 plus long. Can anyone direct me to a good, not break the bank good, 9 speed chain to replace this one with? I do not believe the cogs or chainset are damaged but I will try the chain first to see if that is hopefully the only issue I have.
Thank in advance, Frank.

https://www.jensonusa.com/Chains-Lin...nSpeed=9+Speed I would suggest either of the SRAMs or the KMC. They will come with a quick link.

KMC X9 (X9.93). Cheap, nickel plated (a little easier to clean), seems to last.

All my LBS had was a Shamino for around $19.00. Went home and laid out the old chain to get the measurement and could not believe how much of a difference there was in the link line up. I also could not believe how much better the bike shifts and just the feel of the peddle stroke. I only had about 900 miles on the original chain and I clean and lubricate it with chain prep not 3 in 1 oil regularly so I was very surprised to see such a difference in actual length and operation.
Be safe all, Frank.
