Chainring is not flush against the spider.

Can't see what the issue is.

Based on the photo I would say no...just flaw in the finish....ride and enjoy it.

I didn't see it a first glance but the OP wrote at the bottom of the picture..."Chainring is not flush against the spider" which I can't notice by looking on my device.

I'm not sure but it appears that the arrow on the spider is not lining up the the indicators on the chain ring.

What does the Manual read?

Is the ring secured to the crank, i.e. it doesn't rattle or otherwise show indications of being loose?

If so, no worries. Pedaling forces are borne by the chainring bolts securing the ring to the spider, not the ring's contact with the plateau on the spider.

Oops, You are right...I just saw a paint flaw...should have read the complete post....I can't see it either, either way, if not loose should not be a problem

OP has Rotor Rings with a MAS spider. There are ten different settings for the position of the outer chainring on the spider.

Thanks, I knew there had to be something about it but I'm unfamiliar with that brand and setup.

RaceFace used to have some decent publications on their website about their products and how to install them. I have not been there in a while, but you should take a look at their site and see what they have.

If this is a reference to the lines related to the "OCP..." text, the camera angle has created a parallax view between the two parts. A shot directly at the crank/chainring (i.e. crank/chainring and lens front element parallel) will be more useful, and will probably indicate that the lines line up just right.

Thanks I saw it and changed it to line up with the indicator.

feels pretty secure only thing is I am missing one bolt. But other than that it feels stiff.
