Rear Derailluer Issues
About 90% of the time when I stop pedaling, my rear derailleur likes to lift up, creating slack in the chain, for about half a second and then it'll go back to normal. I took it to a repair shop where I received a tune-up and had the chain and gears cleaned and oiled, yet it still does it and the guy can't figure out why. Please help. I have videos of the problem that I can send if anyone thinks they might know what the issue is and needs more information. Thank you.

Probably not the derailleur. Remove your rear wheel and lay it across a trash receptacle gear cluster up. Spray WD40 or something similar into the crack by the moving part of your freewheel or free hub. My bet is that will fix it.

Freewheel or freehub? I've had this happen more with freewheels and I just kept saturating them with WD-40 until they quit doing that. Unless you really understand how a freewheel is built, you'll probably not get the WD-40 or whatever you use into the right place.

It's hard to believe the repair shop didn't realize what was causing your problem. That's the classic symptom of a sticky freewheel or freehub body. WD-40 is OK but any light oil dribbled into the seam between the stationary inner body and the rotating outer shell while turning the gears by hand should fix the problem.
