Beinn29 Chainwheel
 

It may seem a silly question but how do I change the chainwheel on a Beinn29 for a larger one, is it integral with the crank? I thought it was fixed to the crank /guard but it doesn't want to release.

What make and model crank? The bike manufacturer didn't make the crank themselves

Looks like a standard Truativ 4-bolt crank:

The four bolts secure the ring to the crank. You'll need an Allen wrench and probably a chainring bolt spanner to hold the back side to loosen the bolts

I did try an allen but it didn't want to shift so I wanted to make sure before I used more force.
