Campag brake adjuster question

Hello learned folk! I have a question related to campagnolo brake calipers- I have mostly used dura ace components in the past and would appreciate some advice.

I bought a set of used calipers on ebay to use on a build but only noticed when they arrived that they have no barrel adjusters (this was in the ad, but I think i might have been drunk-purchasing. dangerous)

I have seen one listing on ebay for replacement adjusters- but appears to be $150 for two which seems a little steep. I was wondering if anyone:

a) has some spares floating around or knows where I can get some or
b) knows the dimensions of a generic replacement part?

thanks!

The good news is that an easy work around is not a safety issue. The bad news is that the market speaks with it's pricing of certain replacement parts.

A simple/common adjusting barrel with a suitable washer under it's head or nut will trap it above the arm. There have been a few brands of brake calipers that used a similar adjuster barrel as Campy did. In time a pair will come up that's affordable. Andy

The adjuster should be Campagnolo P/N BR-RE409. Your LBS should be able to order them from Quality for about $35 each. If you are willing to try ordering them from overseas you should be able to get a pair for about $40-$50.
