Crooked wheel?

I've run my front wheel through a truing stand and seemed ok, I got a dishing tool and nothing seemed too bad (though i'm not an expert) Could it be the forks? Or maybe the hub? It sets to the left of the front fork and seems to point towards the right. As you can see how crooked my brakes are set up. I guess I just have to live with it .

Bikes: Too many. Giant Trance X 29, Surly Midnight Special get the most time.

Assuming the wheel is well seated in the dropouts, it's probably the dropout alignment. A good shop should have a dropout alignment tool which may help, assuming that fork is steel.

It's tough to go off a photo that is not precisely aligned but the non-drive side dropout does appear to be askew.

Check your q/r springs. The one on the left side might be backwards...if it is and it's over the axle not it will cause the wheel to be off center with everything else being correct.

Take the wheel out and put it in the other way around. If it's too close to the other fork blade now then the wheel is out of dish. If it's still too close to the left one, as now, then the wheel is true and the fork needs investigating.

Remove the cap from the front valve stem and slide a new bike under it. <grin>

I've never heard of dishing a front wheel, with rim brakes anyway. I imagine it might be a thing with discs.

I'm impressed to see a fork that is so visibly crooked. It's not that important if the brakes work and the bike steers okay.

There used to be a poster here that hated that all of us say a wheel is "dished." You have to check that the rim is centered on the axle. Everyone calls that dishing. A front wheel can be out of dish just as much as a rear wheel can.
