What are these?

I noticed these two odd lugs? bolts? on the bottom of a Specialized Shiv left side chain stay. What are they for? Thank you.

No, rim brakes. These two odd features are about a third of the way towards the bottom bracket on the underside of the left chain stay.

My guess is it was for boxing and shipping purposes.

So the guy at my shop says its probably one of two things:

Either its a cover or some sort of mounting parts for disc breaks OR is a Di2 mounting location.

Other than that he has no idea. And he has been working at a Spec shop for 15 years.

Good idea, better pictures. Appreciate the looks. Here are two better photos. Reviewing the accompanying manual, no indication what they are for.

Well despite me earlier thinking that it was a mount for disc brake versions, the pic's show it way too forward. So now I'm in the speed/cadence sensor camp. Maybe their own SpeedZone sensor. And I guess maybe a Di2 battery, though I can't imagine why there on the newer bikes when they now go so many other places inside frame or bars easier.

Maybe it's a kick stand mount!! <grin>

SOLVED

A friend showed me a pic. It's for the first generation Di2 battery packs as mentioned by others. Thank you all for the info and time.

That was my first thought but then I looked up the model and saw it's a tri bike. Mind you, it has been done.
