SRAM levers and shimano ultegra disk brakes compatibility?

Yes or no??

I ordered a bike from the UK for my son. It's a road bike taking disk brakes.

He has a set of SRAM apex levers and a friend gave me some ultegra flat mount hydraulic calipers to see if I could use them with the bike

Someone else has said that the two are not compatible and I need to stick with the same make because of the fluid used. We need to keep the SRAM levers as they are adaptable to his hand size but I'm not sure what flat mount brake calipers SRAM have for their disc brakes. We also have shimano center locking rotors for his bike

Any thought or advice for a non techie

thank you

Bikes: Too many. Cannondale SuperSix, Trek Remedy 8, Trek Crossrip+ get the most ride time.

You need sram calipers, most of them are flat mount anyways.
The rotors will be fine.

SRAM uses DOT fluid, Shimano, mineral oil.
