Purchasing Tubes
I am looking to replace my tube, first time ever, and struggling to understand what I need. I have a Bontrager wheel that is labeled "AT-750" and the numbers I can find on the tire are H2 700x38, there is also other numbers that are "38-622 (700x38c) TP022-001". How can I understand what tube size I need? From my first google search it says my tire is about 27.5 inches so do I need a 26" tube?

The inner tube size is the same as the tire size. Neither 27.5 nor 26" is the right inner tube size for your tire. Inner tubes are usually labeled with a rage of tire sizes they will fit, something like 700 x 35-40

38 is the width of tire in millimeters that the tube will fit. 700 and 622 are different measuring systems that are for the same circumference tire. Most tube boxes will have the 3*-622 or 700x3* listed on them and can be used for a google search. You don't have to find a tube with the exact 38mm width as most will be within a range of uses such as 35-43mm, 28-38mm, etc. Here's a chart where you can also find sizes listed in inches that compare with metric measurements. 1) Go to your friendly neighborhood bike shop. The current tube with you. Say "Hi, I need a new tube to replace this one."
or 2) order one off the internet. You need to know a) the size of your wheel; b) the width of your tire; and c) what kind of stem; and d) how deep your rims are so you can get one with a long enough stem;
Based on what you said, we know that you have a) a 700c/622mm wheel; b) a 38mm wide tire; c) I'm going to guess a presta; and d) I'm going to guess you can use a 48mm stem.

You also need to make sure you get the same kind of valve Presta/Shrader, and long enough for your rims... the ones with longer valves sometimes cost more so make sure you need it... measure your current valve. Here's an example... the third value is the stem length: 40mm is about as short as they come, 80mm is about as long as they come (for deep aerodynamic rims).
