Campagnolo Mirage 9 speed Ergo power shifters
Hi,
Just wondering is this for a triple chainring or two ?
Googled it and both came up, but there was no difference in model.
Is it just an adjustment from 2 to 3 for the Front Derailleur???
Cannot imagine Campy would make all different models fir the FD from 2 to 3 ???
But I do not know 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Appreciate any and all help
Thank you

Same shifter for both, it has a bunch of clicks. The derailleurs are 2 or 3 ring specific. Inner cage plate on the triple is deeper for the smaller inner ring.

Ergo ft shifters are not indexed but are controlled in cable pull amounts. It's just that there's no "one click one shift" function. Depending on the set up and other factors it can take a few clicks of the lever to pull enough cable and move the der enough to shift (then often a click back to trim). Ergo ft shifters have enough potential cable pull to cover most all triple cranks (and ft ders). If only two rings are in use the der limit screws will prevent the lever from moving further then the two erngs need. Andy

IIRC, there are three flavours of Ergo mechanism, and they all more or less work with a triple, but the most surefire is the original non-escapement Ultrashift mechanism employing the G springs, which has like a micro index on the front shifter, like Shimano DT levers.

Btw, the 2001 Era Campagnolo Mirage Ergo levers could be changed to either 8-speed or 10-speed by changing a couple of parts inside the body.
I love the ratcheting front shifter as it's simple to trim the front derailleur.
Cheers
