pdf or copy of the Roger Musson wheelbuilding book?
Edit: sorry, my autocorrect changed the title and I can't seem to edit it properly. The book I'm looking for is the Roger Musson wheel building book. I think it's called practical guide to wheel building.
I did a little searching around on the forum and it seems like this is it good book for someone who wants to get into wheel building but doesn't need to know tons of theory about it. Anyway, I tried to find a used copy of the book but can't, and I was wondering if anyone here has either a copy they'd sell or a PDF they could pass along. I found a few transcribed versions of the book but it was just plain text, very hard to use. If anyone has a scan that would be amazing. I've always been mildly interested in building wheels. I can do some basic truing and adjusting, but I'm starting basically from the beginning. My goal is to take straightforward bike boom era wheels and lace track hubs onto them. I'm trying to figure out a way to do occasional fixed your conversions without having to buy new wheels every time. It's not very cost-effective. |
Try googling for "Roger Musson wheel building pdf download"
There's a PDF of the 5th edition |
You could just buy the current (7th) edition. Well worth the US$12.

I've been using the third edition for several years. IIRC, when I bought it I was entitled to free upgrades to subsequent editions. I haven't found any major changes in recent editions, and since I printed out and spiral bound the earlier edition I have kept it, as I have lots of annotations. It is a quite useful book.

At £9 the purchase of the latest edition is a no brainer.
