I am wanting to run a saddle that has 7 x 9 (oval) carbon rails on my 2022 Pinarello Prince. I can't find a compatible kit for the Prince that allows the use of 7 x 9 oval carbon rails. Anyone know of a solution to this "problem" or am I SOL? I run a Specialized Power Mirror saddle on my 2020 Specialized Roubaix Pro Force eTap AXS and want to run another one on my new Pinarello Prince. Any advice or thoughts is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It looks like the saddle clamp fastens from the top, so your saddle should go right on- have you tried?

Oh yes it will technically fit in that way but the actual clamping area where it contacts the rails are made for a 7mm round saddle rail and the Specialized Mirror saddle has 7x9 oval rails. I'm only concerned with getting the clamps to fit a 7x9 oval rail.

Just out of curiosity - could you post a photo of your Pinarello seatpost?

A top/bottom saddle clamp cannot really tell the difference between 7mm round and 7x9mm as they are both 7mm wide.

I don't think there is what you are looking for, so you are SIL.

Thanks. I think I got it figured out. Because the clamps are upper and lower and not side to side the saddle rails should fit fine as you said. I got you.

I was asking the question before I even picked up the bike, but on my Specialized it takes a special mount for 7x9 bars (because it clamps to the sides of the rail, not top and bottom). This is my first day with the new Pinarello. I literally picked it up 45 minutes ago. I just wanted to make sure I didn't need a different clamp. Thanks for answering my question.

Yes, I've been through the Specialized saddle clamp process as well.
