Microshift 10sp flat bar shifters MT VS RD?

Is there any difference in the cable pull length between the road shifter and the mountain shifter when used in friction mode? I have the road version on my wife's Comotion with a 9 sp MT cassette but we use it in friction mode and it works wonderfuly. I'm thinking about going to flat bars on my Surly LHT. I use bar end shifters in friction now on the LHT with a 10sp MT rear cassette and Deore XT shifter. I much prefer friction shifting on these touring bikes. I actually prefer the red anodized and silver of the road shifter over the black Mt version.

I will only be using the shifter in friction mode. I do want the one with the greatest pull range though just for future versatility if there is any difference.

On the friction side it doesn't matter. Pretty sure the road 11sp is index only so dont get that one hoping for more pull.
