Schwinn Voyageur 2 Bike Seat Height Adjustment

Hi. First post/question. I have an XL Voyageur 2 2015 (or so). Love the bike. I'm big and tall. Perfect for me and my 10 mile flat weekly rides.
The bummer of the bike is I can't get the seat to stay raised. Fortunately, it's only 2 inches or so too low. So, it's not the biggest problem in the world.
Purchased a tube of Fiber Grip. That didn't work. Any thoughts? Thx.

Did you buy the bike new with the OEM seatpost or used so the seatpost may have been replaced? It sounds like the seatpost is too small. Remove the seatpost and read the diameter marking on it, you may need a slightly larger one.

In addition to checking that the post is the right diameter for the frame, check the quick release skewer (if using one). Sometimes those can get a little warped and not tighten properly, especially if they have plastic components. Might be worth replacing it with a new qr or bolt to see if that solves it.

Thx all. I just might try the beer can shim I see on another thread. Where do you get the "grease" that's always mentioned in saddle post adjustments?

Any hardware, big box, bike shop or auto supply store will have suitable grease of various kinds in small tubes up to large pails. Any lithium, axle or wheel bearing grease will be fine. You grease the seatpost to avoid corrosion and to prevent the seatpost from sticking in the frame. Do a search for "stuck seatposts" and you will see why this is important.
