DIY shifter chain for the Sachs/SRAM Spectro 3x7 hub

Found a way to build my own shifter chain for the old Sachs 3x7 speed hub. Since these shifter chains are no longer made and the chain for standard 3 speed hub is slightly too short I used a chain from the left side 5 speed hub. Cut the thread down with a thread cutter. Cut off the now too long thread no longer needed. Re-thread again and done.
On the photo below is a standard 3 speed chain on the left. The original 3x7 chain second from the left. The newly made chain second from the right and an original 5 speed chain to the right which I used to make it. The thread by the way is 2.2mm 0.45.​​​​​​​
