Another BB question

Here are my BB's I have been experimenting with to get my chainline right . Left is a Shimano with 110mm length , right is a cheapie at 103mm . As you can see both drive sides are the same , they get their longer , shorter distance on the NDS side . I need my chain ring to move 4.5mm closer to the frame . Options ?
Thanks , Mark .

Are you certain your back wheel is dished properly to give the cog or cogs on it the proper chain line?

What cranks are you running? Could be they have too much offset. Not aware of any BB more narrow than 103.
If a double crank being used for a single, maybe mount the ring on the inside?

Hi rc , Yes my crank is a double and I put the chainring on the inside and that worked but I really don't want to do that . Here is my crank .https://www.ebay.com/itm/114868014780?var=415012409362

Yes it is a cheapie , I didn't know it was going to be a road crank . Have you any experience with a real track crank off set compared to a road crank set ?

I know of a fix , take the DS threaded cup off the BB and put in a spacer , but I can't get it off .

Thanks , Mark .

How will putting a spacer on the DS cup move your ring closer to the frame?

You perhaps need to look for a proper crankset for a track bike. The spider shape of the crank positions the chain line too. And from the moment you said it was a track bike, then that 4.5 mm more that you need seemed to indicate you probably have a road crank made for a wider chain line.

There are 103 mm BB's out there. Phil Woods makes on if you want. But then you are getting up to the price of a crank.

When the BB was in the bike, did you have enough clearance between the crank and the BB itself to go another 4.5 mm?

If I could get the drive side cup off the cartridge Then I could make a 4.5 spacer and put it inside the cup and that would move the axle in 4.5 .
And yes I do have a road bike crank and the bike is modified to 120mm spacing . I like your suggestion , I need to get a proper track crank .
Thanks , Mark .
