Which is better?
Shimano OT-SP41 or Jagwire LEX-SL?

Shimano SLR brake housing or Shimano M-system housing?
How do they compare with Jagwire’s CGX-SL brake housing?

Both are quality kits. I use Jagwire housing mostly, because I run full length cable runs on my bikes. The Shimano kit, at the last time I used it, was only available with pre-cut housing pieces. I really don't think you could go wrong with either brand..John

I agree that both shift cable sets are about the same and interchangeable cables and housings. The Shimano cables are 1.2 mm in dia and the Jagwire are 1.1 but I've used Shimano cables in Jagwire housing and vice versa and no issues. The brake housings are definitely better from Jagwire as they have a different construction that makes them less compressible and give a firmer, easier to modulate feel when braking.

I've used both and find them both of excellent quality. I generally use Jagwire as I buy both the shift and brake housing in 25' or 10M rolls on-line and cut them to length for each use. It's much less expensive and more versatile than buying pre-cut kits.

You'll probably have good result with Shimano or Jagwire. If your use or environment has any weird or special conditions, then one may work better for those. But you'll have to try them and see.

It would be useful if you stated where you are located. Based on your other thread about spoke protectors it seem you are in India. Most of us here assume you have access to all products available in the US or Europe and will recommend accordingly. If that's not the case it would be nice to know.

Both are good products, so don't obsess over it. Buy whatever is easiest to find or least expensive. If, as you indicate, both are available and priced the same, flip a coin.

I generally run Jagwire kits on all my bikes these days at least with anything that is cable actuated (though I did get some hydro hoses for my MTB just for the color) Always has been of good quality and in terms of cables way better than the coated stuff much smoother and no chance of getting gummed up by coatings.
