Di2: Ultegra ST-6770 and 11 speed 1x setup
Hi!
The Ultegra ST-6770 di2 STI is originally from the 10 speed ultegra groupset. There are reports on the internet that a firmware update in 2014 made it a requirement that both front *and* rear derailleur must be from a 10 speed groupset, or a 11 speed groupset to work with the ST-6770 (but not mixed).
I am contemplating using a ST-6770 with an 11 speed rear derailleur (the RD-RX815 would be a good match for my use), but in a 1x configuration. Does anyone know if the ST-6770 will work with just one 11 speed DI2 derailleur and up-to-date firmware?
Thanks!

Yes, all road/mtb 10-speed and 11-speed Di2 shifters (except 7970) can be used with any 11-speed / 10-speed derailleur, no problem.
